Matchmaking ceremony

Aleksandropol (Gyumri), the beginning of the XIXth century. Creating a family is one of the most significant events in the Armenians' life. Over the centuries, traditions and rituals of matchmaking have not practically changed. Parental blessing to the marriage is still considered to be a decisive factor in the creation of an Armenian family.
